In 2f=32, you need to isolate f. This means that you perform "inverse operations" in order to get f by itself on one side of the equation. f is multiplied by 2, so to do inverse operations, you must DIVIDE BOTH SIDES by 2. (Remember, what you do to one side of the equation, you must do to the other!)

2f/2 =32 / 2. 2f/2 is really just 2/2 * f, and 2/2=1, so 1*f=f. 32/2=16. So, f=16.

it would be 16 because you divide the number combined with the variable to get alone and 32 divided by 2 is 16 so f=16
