If you mean 6ft/4ft then that would be 3/2 or if the other way then it would be 2/3

Find common multiples of the 2 numbers and divide them by them.
For this example there is the common multiple of 2 in 6 and 4
6/2 to 4/2 would equal
3 to 2 or 3/2
