In system of equations, you can get the value of x and y as coordinates by substituting any of the value. For example, you are looking for x, then make sure you have the value for y. If you are looking for the value of y, then make sure to have the value of x. You can use the slope-intercept form: y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the x-intercept.
