melanie wants to put ribbion around the circumfrence of a circular secetion of the city park. Ribbon comes in in rolls of 40 feet. The radius of the section of the park ois 100 feet. How many rolls should melanie buy?

2 * Pi *R

C= 2 * 3.14* 100 = 625

40 divided by 625

= 15.6 rolls of ribbon

Circumference= 2 x pi x r
C= 200 x pi
C is about 628 feet
628/40 is about 15.7
But you can't buy 15.7 rolls so you buy one more roll.
