Given:

Hypotenuse = "x"

Angle =42.1

Find-: Value of "x"

Sol:

Use the formula:

\begin{gathered} \cos\theta=\frac{\text{ Base}}{\text{ Hypotenuse }} \\ \end{gathered}

Where,

\begin{gathered} \text{ Base=1730} \\ \\ \text{ Hypotenuse= }x \\ \\ \text{ Angle \lparen}\theta)=90-42.1 \\ \\ \theta=47.9 \end{gathered}

So the hypotenuse is:

\begin{gathered} \cos47.9=(1730)/(x) \\ \\ x=(1730)/(\cos47.9) \\ \\ x=(1730)/(0.67043) \\ \\ x=2580.45 \end{gathered}

So the value of "x" is 2580.45
