From the quadratic equation

y=ax^2+bx+c

1) Shift up is given by a>0

3) shift down is given by a<0

4) If |a| <1 the parabola is wider. If |a|>1 the parabola is narrower

5) y- intercept is c

In order to find the answer to options 2, 4 and 6, we need to rewrite the quadratic function in vertex or factored form.

The vertex form is

y=a(x+(b)/(2a))+k

then,

6) shift left is given by the term

(b)/(2a)
