The daring design feature was the main big dome and how wide it was. What added to it were the forty large windows that encircled the main dome.

Answer:

The Dome

Step-by-step explanation:

The dome of the Hagia Sophia recognized as the most daring architectural work of its period during the Byzantine empire. To support the massive pressure, it needed a technique to hold the dome in its structure. The first dome along with structure collapsed in 557 CE, which led to rebuilt it again. Isidore the Younger rebuilt Hagia Sophia with increasing the height of the structure along with its arc and depth. He also added 40 ribs in the dome to provide support to hold upright.
