first you should find how much is 4% of 12 and then add it to 12 to find the new pay:
4/100 =?/12 ⇒ 12*4/100 ⇒ 48/100 = 0.48
so the answer is:
12 + 0.48 = 12.48 :)))
i hope this is helpful
have a nice day
