Initial velocity -u = 0 m/s
Final velocity -v = ?
Time taken = 8 s
Acceleration due to gravity = 10 m /s²
Using Eq.1 of motion,
v = u + at
v = 0 + (10)(8)
Therefore, v = 80 m/s
