I can not help on slide 11 question 1. Just label the lines with the given subjects and plot the points. At midnight Princeton was at -3.5 degrees while new haven was at 1.2. New haven is warmer by 4.7 degrees C. If the point (3,-2.5) was plotted, it would mean 3 hours after midnight (3 am) it would be -2.5 degrees C.
Point C is at (5,8) not (5,7). Point D is at (-3,-4) not (-4,-3).
