B. 3p + 2 when p = 3 the number of plants is 11

The answer is D because cubed is to the 3rd power (p^3) okay so with that the next part of the question reads "adds 2 vegetable plants" so knowing this your equation will be p^3+2. Next you substitute 3 for p therefor giving you the problem
3^3+2=?
27+2=29

when she cubed the number of flowering plants that means p^3 so the answer is not A or B
now take a look at C or D
both are p^3 + 2 which is right now lets solve it:
3^3 + 2 = 27 +2 = 29
so the answer is D :)))
i hope this is helpful
have a nice day
