Any line perpendicular to some line with slope a must have a slope -1/a

Then, any line with slope 1/5 will be perpendicular to the line y = -5x - 4

Now consider a line perpendicular to y = -5x - 4 passing through (-10,2). If b is your intercept, we have:

\begin{gathered} y=(x)/(5)+b \\ 2=-(10)/(5)+b \\ 2=-2+b \\ b=4 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the line is:

y=(x)/(5)+4
