Answer: Gravity

Explanation: A star is held together by gravity. A star is formed of dust and gases which clump together by gravitational force. As the mass of the clump increases, gravitational pull increases thereby attracting more material. When sufficient temperature is achieved, fusion reaction kicks in which generates heat and light. The pressure developed by the fusion reaction pushes the layer of star outwards but the star is held together by the force of gravity.
