Is an account of an event written by someone who was not at the event a primary source or a secondary source?

It would be a secondary source since they weren’t apart of it or actually there to witness it.

Answer:

hmm..well It is often confusing to determine if something is a primary source. Materials that are of course not primary sources...include: Books written after a historical event by someone who was not involved in the event. Books are considered Secondary Sources.

hoped this was helpful!
