- - Not counting Pluto there are 8 planets, although some people still believe Pluto could be considered one, then it would be 9.

Their are
8 planets
.
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
Their were 9 planets.
