5x-2y=-9

(-2,5)
x=-2
y=5

therefore: 5(-2)-2(5)=-10-10=-20≠-9 ⇒ (-2,5) is not solution.

(2,-4)
x=2
y=-4

Therefore: 5(2)-2(-4)=10+8=18≠-9 ⇒ (2,-4) is not solution.

(1,-3)
x=1
y=-3

Therefore: 5(1)-2(-3)=5+6=11≠-9 ⇒ (1,-3) is not solution.

(-1,2)
x=-1
y=2

Therefore: 5(-1)-2(2)=-5-4=-9 ⇒(-1,2) is the solution.
