In preparation for the school play, the number of adult tickets sold by the ticket office was 5 less than

twice the number of children’s tickets. How many children’s tickets were sold if they sold 95 adult
tickets?

Let that be x

  • 2x-5=95
  • 2x=95+5
  • 2x=100
  • x=100/2
  • x=50

Children tickets =50
