B. Inverted Triangle

When constructing a paragraph, the topic sentence (or point of the paragraph) is usually placed as the first sentence of the paragraph. Note that topic sentences tend to be general, and from this generality all paragraph body sentences branch out with descriptions, examples, and quotations about the topic in much the same way one might visualize a triangle. When the topic sentence is at the bottom of the paragraph, one would mentally “flip” the image of the triangle to where the point is at the bottom—an inverted triangle.

A paragraph with its topic sentence last would be called an inverted triangle. The point (being the topic), The base (being anything backing up the topic).
