you can buy 5 stickers for 3$. write a proportion that gives you the cost c if you buy 12 stickers. what is the answer please :)

Divide the price of the stickers by the number of stickers ($3/5=$.60) multiply the price of one sticker by the number of stickers ($.60x12=$7.20) :)

5:3=12:c
fractionfy
5/3=12/c
multply both sides by c
5c/3=12
mulitply both isdes yb 3
5c=36
divide obht isde sby 5
c=7.20

$7.20 for 12 stickers
