the answer is x-12!
explaination:
2x-(x+8)-4
first, distribute the negative to x and 8
2x-x-8-4
then collect like terms (2x-x) then (-8-4)
2x-x= x and -8-4= -12 therefore the answer is
x-12.
hope this helps!
