A food web differs from a food chain by having multiple chains in itself. So, it won't be a linear chain, but it will express multiple relations between the organisms involved. So, with the organisms provided, an example of food web might be:

In this food web, the arrows indicates who is eaten by who. Therefore:

- the grass is food for the grasshopper (black arrow);

- the grasshopper is food for the frog, the cat, the bird and the snake (red arrows);

- the frog is food for the bird, the cat and the snake (blue arrows);

- the bird is food for the cat and the snake (green arrows);

- the cat is food for the snake (yellow arrow); and

- the snake is on the top of the food web, eating all of the other organisms except the grass and not being eaten by any of them.
