Step by step solution

Lets first find the probability of winning and not winning:

The probability of winning is 1/6.

So the probability of not winning is 5/6.

If you buy 10 of those lottery tickets the probability that at least one of them will be a winner is:


\begin{gathered} P=1-((5)/(6))^(10) \\ P=0.838494 \end{gathered}

Because it 1 minus the probability of not winning in any of the opportunities.
