Metals are better conductors that metalloids and non-metals.

Explanations
Metals have free electrons that facilitate the conductivity of heat. When a metal is heated at one end the electrons at that end gain kinetic energy and a carry heat energy from one end to the other.
Metalloids on the other hand lies between a metal and a non-metal. They would conduct heat but not as effective as metals.
For non-metal, they do not have free electron and so they do not conduct heat at all.
