Since M is the midpoint of line CB, then line CM has equal length as line MB. We have;

3x+1=5x-9

Then, we collect like terms;

\begin{gathered} 1+9=5x-3x \\ 2x=10 \end{gathered}

Divide both sides of the equation by 2;

\begin{gathered} (2x)/(2)=(10)/(2) \\ x=5 \end{gathered}

CORRECT OPTION: 5
