On a math test the highest grade was 38 points higher than the lowest grade . the sum pf the highest and lowest grade was 142. what is the highest grade on the math test

142 - 38 = 104
104 ÷ 2 = 52

52 = lowest grade
90 = highest grade

This is correct because 90 is 38 higher than 52, and the sum of 90 + 52 = 142.
