I have this same question but I feel like I have the answer.
If you look at the second choice it shows him say "of course not" in reply to the child before he pulled her into his lap which shows his reluctance to talk about the subject with her. And seeing as the "B" choice is the only one with the number 2 as an option I would go for that one.
