Three consecutive even integers have a sum of 168. what's the value of the largest integer?

x+(x+2)+(x+ 4)=168
=> 3x+6=168
=> 3x=162
=> x=54

Plug this in for (x) and you find that the 3 numbers are 54, 56, 58. 58 is the largest one.
