What is the value of ab if a=7 and b=6?

So you have an which means multiply because they are together so a=7 and b=6 so you do 7×6 which equals 42

in algebra, when a number and a letter is close together, like 2a, it means 2×a. as same when you have two letters close together, it's multiplication, so ab means a×b, so instead of letters write the value,then multiply,

a×b
=7×6
=42

answer=42
