1) 10 cm² dilated by a factor of 2. 10cm² x 2² = 10cm² x 4 = 40cm² area of the dilated image

2) 1000 ft³ dilated by a factor of 1.5 = 1000ft³ x 1.5³ = 1000ft³ x 3.375 = 3,375 ft³ volume of the scaled image

3) 615.6mm³ ÷ 22.8mm³ = 27 ⇒ ∛27 = 3 is the factor

4) 875in³ dilated by a factor of 1/5 = 875in³ x (1/5)³ = 875in³ x 1/125 = 875 in³ / 125 = 7 in³ volume of the scaled image
