Laboratory Techniques
In laboratory research, numerous techniques are needed to handle cells. Below we will understand two of them and establish their differences.
Cell culturing: it is a method in which cells are cultivated outside their biological environment in a controlled manner, that is, it is possible to establish the conditions under which that cell in cultivation is. In this case, whole cells are usually grown on plates.
Cell fractionation: in this technique, the components that are part of the cell are separated and isolated so that it is possible to observe the individual action of each component of that cell.
Therefore, we can say that while in “cell culturing” the cell is analyzed in a unique and integral way, in “cell fractionation”, the cellular components are separated to be analyzed individually.
