First find the speed...
8 miles per 3 hrs
8/3 = 2 2/3 m/hr
2 2/3 m/hr × x/3 m =
2 2/3 ÷ 3 = x
8/3 ÷ 3 = x
8/3 × 1/3 = x
8/9 = x
It takes 8/9 of an hour to run 3 miles. Multiply 8/9 × 60 to find out how many minutes.
8/9 × 60 = 53.33 minutes
