Answer: They can afford $1200 .

Explanation:

Given : The total cost = $ 1500

Gardening store can afford
\frac45 of the total cost.

Then, the amount they can afford can be computed as:


\frac45* \text{(Total cost)}\\\\=\frac45*(1500)\\\\=4*300\\\\=1200

i.e. The amount the store can afford = $ 1200

Therefore, they can afford $1200 .
