√(2x+10) - 6 = x \\ \\ √(2(x + 5)) - 6 = x \\ \\ √(2(x + 5)) = 2 + 6 \\ \\ √(2(x + 5)) = 8 \\ \\ 2 (x + 5) = 64 \\ \\ x + 5 = (64)/(2) \\ \\ x + 5 = 32 \\ \\ x = 32 - 5 \\ \\ x = 27 \\ \\

The final result is: x = 27.

(√ 2 x + 10 ) - 6 = 2

Simplify the radical equation :

Add 6 to both sides

√ ( 2 x + 10) - 6 + 6 = 2 + 6

√ ( 2x + 10) = 8

Square both sides

(√2 x + 10 )² = 8²

Refine :

2 x + 10 = 64

2 x = 64 - 10

2 x = 54

x = 54 / 2

x = 27

hope this helps!
