Given the point and the slope of the line:

Slope = -2/3

Point = ( 9 , -4 )

the general equation of the line in slope - intercept form is ;

y=m\cdot x+b

Where : m is the slope and b is y - intercept

m = -2/3

so, the equation will be:

y=(-2)/(3)x+b

We will find b using the point ( 9 , -4)

When x = 9 , y = -4

so,

\begin{gathered} -4=(-2)/(3)\cdot9+b \\ \\ -4=-6+b \\ b=-4+6=2 \end{gathered}

So, the equation of the line is:

y=(-2)/(3)x+2
