Answer:

Carbon dioxide emitted in the atmosphere is 129.6 kg.

Explanation:

As we know when we burn 1 gallon of gasoline produces 20 pounds of carbon dioxide.

Since in i gallon a truck covers 14 miles which means in 14 miles a truck produces 20 pounds of carbon dioxide gas.

Now we can calculate the amount of CO2 emitted by a truck in 200 miles.

∵ During 14 miles CO2 emitted = 20 pounds

∴ during 1 mile CO2 emitted will be = 20/14 pounds

∴ While covering 200 miles CO2 emitted = (200×20)/14 = 285.71 pounds of CO2.

Or by converting 281.71 pounds to kg amount of CO2 will be = 129.6 kg

Converting 200 miles to the amount of carbon dioxide emission that would be 1.884 tons annually. This will be the amount of carbon dioxide given that 200 miles is monthly covered.
