Charles wants to determine which car is the fastest. The actual speed of four cars is shown below:

Car: A B C D
Speed (in km/h): 60.34 60.32 60.33 60.35

If the speedometer can only measure to the nearest tenth of a second, which car will have a different measurement?

Answer:

Car D

Explanation:

Given :

Car: A B C D

Speed (in km/h): 60.34 60.32 60.33 60.35

To find : which car have different measurement

Speedometer can only measure to the nearest tenth of a second

If the decimal part of the value is greater than or equal to 5 - digit is rounded off

If the value is less than 5 - digit remain same

Now, we round of all the cars speed

Car A : 60.34 = 60.3

Car B : 60.32 = 60.3

Car C : 60.33 = 60.3

Car D : 60.35 = 60.4

Therefore, Car D is having different measurement.
