3/4= 2/4

So that means to add 2/4+3/4=5/4= 1 whole and 1/4

Well, you first make the bottom of the fraction equal to each other. 1/2 and 3/4 made into the same number. What two numbers does 2 and 4 both go into? well, the smallest one they go into is 8. Making the bottoms the same means you have to do something to the top of the fraction. So the answer is 4/8+6/8 and what is 6+4? It's 10, so 10/8= 1 and 2/8 which equals 1 and 1/4. The solution is 1 and 1/4
