Meiosis is the cell division that occurs mostly to produce and create gametes. While mitosis occurs mostly all over the body, the sperm and egg cell is domineered by meiosis. During meiosis 1 like mitosis the cell produces 2 daughter diploid cells and when it reaches meiosis 2, the meiosis proper, generates 4 haploid cells.
