Equivalent Equations:

We have equation A:

3 (x+2) = 18

And equation B:

x + 2 = 6

Dividing both sides of equation A by 3:

x+2 = 18/3 = 6

x + 2 = 6

We have obtained equation B from A by dividing both sides by 3.

Answer: C

Since both equations can be obtained by multiplying or dividing the other equation by a non-zero constant, if follows the equations are equivalent

(A) Yes
