foil is just like distributive meathod rememebering meathood
so foil is
First
Outer
Inner
Last
so if you had
(a+b)(c+d)
you would do
First
a times c
Outer
a times d
Inner
b times c
Last
b times d so
we have
(b-3)(b+9)
FIRST
b times b=b^2
Outer
b times 9=9b
Inner
-3 times b=-3b
Last=-3 times 9=-27
add
b^2+9b-3b-27
add like terms
b^2+6b-27
answer is A
