volume=height times area of base
area of base=pi times r^2

volume=(h)(pi)(r^2)

diameter=2r
diameger=8
8=2r
divide 2
4=r

h=3 times r
h=3r
r=4
h=3(4)
h=12

r=4
h=12
pi=3.14
subsitute
volume=(12)(3.14)(4^2)
volume=(12)(3.14)(16)
volume=602.88 in^3
