y = 3¹/₂x - 2

Slope: 3¹/₂
Y - Intercept: -2

The line is in slope intercept form y=mx+b, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.
So in the line y = (7/2)x -2, you know -2 is y-intercept and (7/2) is the slope.
So (0,-2) would be one point, and use the slope to get the second point.
Slope is change in y over change in x, or rise over run, so go 7 up from (0,-2) and right 2 and the second point is (2,5).

With the points (0,-2) and (2,5) you can make a line (since two points determine a line).
