for this question you can say:
10 3/4 = 43/4
and
7 1/4 = 29/4
so the answer is:
43/4 - 29/4 = 14/4 = 7/2 and that's the simplest form :)))

equals 3 1/2 because 3/4-1/4=2/4 when you simplify you get 1/2 then take away 10-7=3 and get 3 1/2
