Kids learn by what they see, and even though outside their home they will learn about how society in general works, what they truly learn is what they see inside their house and they will follow the example their parents give.
A great way parent can improve equal power relations is by sharing household responsibilities equally. They can do this by the father cooking, putting the table, cleaning, making beds, etc. the same amount of times the mother does it, this can be backup with a shores calendar where every member of the family has a different responsibility each day. To this it can be added that parents ask their kids for help in this households without any relevance to their gender.
Another way parents can improve equal power relations is by letting the mother do activities usually related to men with their kids, like inviting the family for dinner, helping fixing details in the house, etc.
When kids see there is no less power or more power related to a gender in their household they will keep this values and parents will encourage equal power relations.
