The answer is:

56 ÷ 8

which is:

56 ÷ 8 = 7

The length of each side is 7 meters.

(and you do it by doing 56 ÷ 8)

Answer:

length of each sides x = 7 meter.

Explanation:

Given : A garden has eight equal sides and perimeter of 56 meters.

TO find : gives the length, in meter, of each sides.

Solution : We have given that a garden has 8 equal sides

Let the length of each sides of garden = x

Perimeter = sum of all sides or garden

56 = x +x +x +x +x + x+ x +x

56 = 8x

On dividing both sides by 8 and switching sides

x =
(56)/(8)

x = 7 meter.

Therefore, length of each sides x = 7 meter.
