Aristotle's Rhetoric has had a great influence on the development of art and rhetoric. Aristotle's rhetorical triangle theory consists of three technical means of convincing: ethos, pathos and logos. Ethos is an appeal for ethics, when convincing is done by the credibility and character of the convict. Pathos represents a way in which conviction is done by means of emotions, while the logos is used when convincing is performed using reason.
