Aristotle's Rhetoric has had a great influence on the development of art and rhetoric. Aristotle's rhetorical triangle theory consists of three technical means of convincing: ethos, pathos and logos. Ethos is an appeal for ethics, when convincing is done by the credibility and character of the convict. Pathos represents a way in which conviction is done by means of emotions, while the logos is used when convincing is performed using reason.

What is not part of Aristotle's rhetorical triangle theory is anaphora, which is a figure of speech, is the repetition of a particular word or phrase at the beginning of each line of speech.

Since Aristotle's rhetorical triangle theory consists of three forms of persuasion, which are logos, ethos, and pathos, anything that isn't one of these three options is the element which doesn't belong here.
