At the shaking rink, Sean and Patrick spent $17.45 on admission and snacks. They used one coupon for $2 off the admission. The snacks cost $5.95. What is the regular admission cost for one?

$17.45 ÷ $2 = $8.257
$8.257 + $5.95 = $14.67

What you would do first is subtract $5.95 from $17.45

So: $17.45 - $5.95 = $11.50

Then you would subtract $2 from $11.50

So: $11.50 - $2 = $9.50

Then you would divide $9.50 by 2

So: $9.50 / 2 = $4.75

Therefore, $4.75 is the cost of one admission ticket.

Hope this helps!!(:
