400 cars divided by 8 hours equals 50. The factory therefore makes 50 cars an hour.

8 hrs = workday
Find unit rate:-
400 ÷ 8 = 50
50 cars per hr
Check:-
50 × 8 = 400
Correct!
50 cars per hr.
