The answer is B: more difficult than.

World literature refers to literary products of a universal nature produced in as many settings, times, and contexts as different cultures have existed. As such, it can be said to be a more difficult reading since the context, the setting, the language (often you would have to encounter these through their translations, which are, at best, approximation to the original) demand a careful reading that can aspire to comprehend the meaning of the work of literature in question and it may not be as “natural” as reading a work of literature from our own country, time, or language.
